College Life

Well. Completing college has proved to be an exceptionally evasive goal of mine. It is now January 5th, 2015 and in the last year and a half I have taken one college level course at a local community college. It was Calculus I, which I have already taken and passed but wanted to take a refresher course since I was struggling with Calculus II.

Now don’t get me wrong, I am still hell bent on attending college and receiving my engineering degree. My family still seems very concerned that I am just going to roll over and work retail the rest of my life, which absolutely will not happen.

I am going to approach college in a much different way now. I do not need to take a bunch of courses at once (even though I would prefer it). I am going to take a class a semester, or as many as I can afford, until my financial aid eligibility jumps back to life for the 2016-2017 school year. Until then, I just have to grin and bear it.

Really, it could be worse. At least I can still make some sort of progress, regardless of how small it is.
